The Improving Services, Supports and Programming for Preschool Children with Disabilities Professional Learning Collaborative (PLC)  is an opportunity for school district staff to engage in process to examine and improve their current district operated preschool classrooms, services and systems.  Additionally, it is designed to promote cross district collaboration to identify challenges and opportunities and learn from each other in our efforts to operate quality early childhood and early childhood special education programs.  

What is the focus?

In order to move forward in efforts to increase access to Least Restrictive Environment for preschool aged children, many school districts need support to examine their preschool systems. In many districts preschool itself is much like its own “school”, meaning there are multiple classrooms or placement options within the program. In the Examining Preschool Service Delivery Models Cohort, districts are supported to use tools and strategies to identify and document key components of their preschool delivery system and to implement action plans to strengthen, maximize opportunities and address gaps.
