We’re About The Little People…

EARLY CHILDHOOD TRANSITIONS
When families and staff work together as a team, the best possible outcomes occur for children and families, and for the agencies that serve them. In this section you will find Regional Interagency Agreements that lay out the timelines, policies and procedures for the Early Childhood Transition process, an on-line module that walks you through the steps of the process as well as other important resources to support ESS, school district personnel and families work more collaboratively together.

LEAST RESTRICTIVE ENVIRONMENT
Children with disabilities, including children aged 3-5, must be educated in the least restrictive environment (LRE). School districts are required to offer a continuum of placements for preschool aged children and to ensure that children with disabilities are educated in an environment with children without disabilities, to the greatest extent appropriate. In this section, you will find our on-line module that discusses preschool LRE, NHSEIS data entry related to settings, and tools to help review program models related to LRE.

EARLY CHILDHOOD SPECIAL EDUCATION SYSTEMS
As more focus on both a state and federal level is being placed on early childhood, School Administrators and other decision makers are realizing the need to better understand the requirements around preschool and how their district provides services to preschool aged children. This section provides tools and information and tools to support better understanding preschool systems.
