The Improving Services, Supports and Programming for Preschool Children with Disabilities Professional Learning Collaborative (PLC) is an opportunity for school district staff to engage in process to examine and improve their current district operated preschool classrooms, services and systems. Additionally, it is designed to promote cross district collaboration to identify challenges and opportunities and learn from each other in our efforts to operate quality early childhood and early childhood special education programs. Each PLC Cohort is limited to 5 to 10 districts
The primary purpose of the PLC is to provide a venue for professional learning, peer-to peer learning and conversation. The PLC Cohorts meet monthly through virtual collaboration with all cohorts coming together at least once a year. During these learning opportunities there will be:
- Tools to support data driven decision making and action planning
- Individualized technical assistance in small-group or individual settings to address individual district needs
- Facilitated conversation with districts sharing successes and challenges in processes and outcomes to promote cross district learning and collaboration
- Peer-to-peer networking
- Facilitated conversation with content specialists
- Whole-group and/or webinar presentations from content specialists
